Spend an amazing week with Chef Michelle immersed in Italian culture on our Food & Wine Tour of Italy. This European trip offers a wonderful week-long vacation through the heart of Italy. Guests stay amid olive groves & grape vines enjoying the countryside as we tour you through small towns off the beaten path. With Chef Michelle as your personal interpreter and guide, taste your way through the flavors that inspired her career.
A full week’s itinerary of excursions, wine tasting tours, luncheons & dinners with our Italian family and of course the culinary exploration of the Italian food & wine scene. Guests will immerse themselves in the traditions of classic Italian food, wine & life. This Food & Wine Tour Vacation includes a 7-night stay where each couple enjoys their own private accommodations in quaint hotels and countryside inns, transportation to medieval towns, culinary tours, continental breakfasts, & occasional lunches and/or dinner dining at local cafes, and intimate cooking demonstrations at our family’s homes.
Spend your vacation learning the ‘Dolce Vita’ (The Sweet Life). Our days will be filled with excursions highlighting the delights of authentic Italian life from its food to its wine to its culture. Imagine nights dining al fresco in the hills with the most picturesque views, and excursions to small towns nestled in the Italian countryside. Your week-long stay includes your tour guide and our chef from the Fat Tuscan as your personal interpreter. The tour will include multiple cities for your accommodations all located throughout the regions of Lazio, Umbria & Tuscany. *Towns and actual itinerary will be announced each year as the tour is released in Late January/February.

7 Day & Nights Stay in Heart of Italy (Tuscany/Umbria/Lazio)
- Canto Degli Alberti – Monterchi (Tuscany)
Canto degli Alberti is an old stone built farmhouse, which in the past included the stables, and is part of a small complex comprising a sixteenth century house, and a group of buildings which collectively were a granary, a forge, a mill all involved in farming in the Tiber Valley in the past. The Country Inn has been completely restored with 4 Apartments in the old Grain Mill portion. Each Room includes a kitchenette, sitting room, full bathroom and separate bedroom with queen size beds. (two units on the bottom floor and two units upstairs)

Our Chef and Owner who is fluent in Italian, Michelle Gioviti, will be your personal tour guide, accompanying you to the different towns which may include small walking tours or time for you to explore and shop on your own. There are many cafe’s and places tucked into each medieval town for you to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine as well. The tour may include a lunch which will be arranged for the group for everyone to enjoy and discussion of the cuisine of the area. (Each day includes two meals plus an excursion except on travel days. Lunches and/or Dinners may be during excursions or at small quaint restaurants with picturesque views along the way.) Each day we celebrate the cuisine of the area and its unique local foods.
Transportation Included
- An 9 person Van will pick you up from a destination to be announced. Once the tour begins all transportation in included for the week. *Pick up may be from Rome or other small Train Station which will be announced in more detail with the full itinerary.
- Arrival Day – Arrival times can vary, but must be before 4PM at latest.
- Departure Day – Some transportation to train stations or airport may be available. Inquire at booking.
- Tour pricing includes all travel to and from all the visiting small towns throughout the week.

Small Tour Group
This is a tour group consisting of 4 couples, 8 guests in total. This allows for us to offer personal experiences to each person and to continue our consistent service for small intimate experiences. Our Pricing is based on per couple. All accommodations are booked as a single room with 2 guests.
