PART DEMONSTRATION with some HANDS ON – VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY
Join guest teacher Lisa Varvel as she explores the five flavor elements of taste; salt, sugar, bitter, sour, and umami (savory). Have you ever said, “this is great but it’s missing something”? Then this is a class for you. Lisa will walk you through how we taste food and how that helps us to better balance flavors with tips and tricks of the trade. Lisa focuses on the home cook who just needs more ideas on creating flavorful meals from their pantry and wants to explore more with ingredients and spices. This class is part demonstration and part light hands-on. $65.00 per person includes multiple tastings of demonstrated items, some hands-on cooking, and recipes. All ingredients provided. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
