Hands On – Vegetarian Friendly – Baking – Aprons & a sheet pan or container is recommended to carry finished muffins home

Learn to create soft, chewy English Muffins from scratch and become your own “muffin man”. Join us for this fun afternoon class where we explore the process of making English Muffins.  In this class students will be learning about fortified doughs, brioche type dough and the process used for creating this type of bread dough.  Each student will learn to form, rise, shape & grill the dough to create these tender treats.  Baking will be done in class and students will go home with hot fresh muffins.  Students learn how to combine ingredients, knead bread, rise yeast doughs and to form the savory sweet dough from scratch with discussions on rising time and shaping the bread as well.  This hands-on class provides all the raw ingredients and one-on-one instructions from our chef on the intricacies of bread making.  Each student will work at their own station and work with their own dough.  Students will also be using a pan to ‘grill’ each muffin.  Rising time and working the dough will be discussed.  Aprons are recommended for this class as each student will be working with substantial amounts of flour.  $65.00 per person, includes light beverages & snacks as well as cooking instructions and recipes.
