Join us at this interactive cooking class exploring the art of Pastry dough. Students learn how to make a type of cooked pastry dough known as Pate au choux. Students will use a stovetop to create the dough, learn piping skills with warm dough for baking and how to properly cool and fill the pastries they create. After baking, and the pastry is cool, students will have a choice of different cream fillings to fill the pastry. Warm chocolate will also be available to drizzle over the top. The class focuses on piping skills, cooking the correct consistency for the dough and filling the pastry’s. This class requires some detailed work such as piping and filling warm delicate pastries as well as timing and basic pastry dough requirements. Each student will go home with an assorted mix of pastries. Please bring a container for your finished pastries to be taken home. Aprons are recommended. $70.00 per person, includes all groceries, supplies, tools, chef lead class instruction and printed recipes. Light snacks will also be provided during class.
