SATURDAY, AUGUST 19TH 2023 – DESSERT: MAKING CHEESECAKE – 1PM TO 3PM – 14 MAX STUDENTS
HANDS ON CLASS – KID FRIENDLY – TAKE HOME AND BAKE – *Students must bring a springform pan
Do you love making desserts? Have you been a customer who loved the Fat Tuscan’s light & fluffy Ricotta style cheesecakes? This is the perfect class for those students that love to bake, or who find desserts frustrating. Our customers loved the cheesecakes from our café with their light and fluffy texture which was the key to their success. This class will go over the original recipe Ricotta Cheesecake developed by Chef Michelle, owner and founder of The Fat Tuscan. Each student will be making an individual cheesecake to take home. Students will also have a variety of flavors to choose from for their cheesecakes from Tiramisu, Strawberry, Lemon, Chocolate, Chocolate Chip and many more. The chef will prepare a cheesecake alongside the class teaching proper mixing, folding of ingredients and a discussion on baking. Each student makes a cheesecake to take home of their desired flavor. The class will include all ingredients and supplies needed to produce a full cheesecake to take home; (Take home Class Size feeds 8 t0 12). A house made cheesecake will be made in advance to eat and to show desired texture and outcome as a tasting after the class. Students need to bring an 8 or 9 inch springform pan (larger sizes will still use recipes designed for 8 or 9 inch pans.) $70.00 per person includes all ingredients to prepare an individual cheesecake as well as recipes for each student. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. *Individual baking will be done at home.
