SATURDAY, August 3rd, 2024 – BEGINNING BREAD: FOCACCIA BREAD/Focaccia Art – 11am TO 2 PM – 12 STUDENTS MAX
HANDS ON CLASS – KID FRIENDLY – VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY – TAKE HOME BREAD
In this morning class students will learn how to make the Classic Italian flat bread know as Focaccia Bread. Focaccia is an Olive Oil laden style bread that is eaten on its own, split in half for sandwiches or as thick pizza crust. In this class, students will learn to create their own dough using flour, water, yeast, salt and olive oil creating a type of wet yeast dough. Yeast development, mixing, kneading and rising times as well as shaping the bread and baking will be included in the class. Students will also have choices on herb flavorings to create an individual flavor bread of choice as well as an assortment of toppings to decorate the tops of their breads prior to baking. All about bread making and decorating to make an edible beautiful bread to take home. Class will include all ingredients, supplies and class instruction by the chef including printed recipes for each student. Students are recommended to wear an apron. Feel free to bring a sheet pan or a baking pan with a slight lip for transportation of the hot bread home. Samples will also be eaten in class. (Baking & Baking pans will be provided by the Fat Tuscan). This is a perfect class for beginners and an easy recipe for most anyone to work. Each student will go home with their done product. $65.00 per person, includes groceries, supplies, bread tastings, chef lead class instruction. Aprons recommended
