Observation & Some Hands On
This class focuses on making soups from scratch using fresh local ingredients. The chef prepares several types of soups in front of the class. From creamy bisques to warm hearty stews to light summer soups may be on the evenings menu depending on the time of year. A total of three soups and three wines will be presented in this class. At times, there may be some chopping, peeling and/or working at group stations to create soups but for this class, the majority is observation of the instructor. Sampling the prepared soups is the main participation as well as tasting the paired wines. This class is perfect for the person who loves soups and wants more recipes and suggestions for creating homemade soups at home. Recipes of dishes will be available to all students. Includes a dinner of several different types of soups served with toasted bread and wine tasting pairing. $65.00/per person – includes all ingredients, materials, a dinner of a trio of soups, wine tasting and cooking Class instruction
