Friday, April 1st – Street Foods, The Cornerstone of South American Cooking; Arepas, Tostadas & Flan – 12 max. students – 6 to 9pm

Join guest Teacher Soraya Sus & Staff for an evening immersed in the flavorful foods of Colombia & Venezuela.  Students will learn the art of creating authentic corn Arepas & Tostadas. Come enjoy a night full of tasty treats cooking with us while you learn about the wonderful street foods of South America. In the class students will learn how to combine ingredients and the proper cooking technique for the perfect crispy texture to these amazing treats. We will also provide a full toppings bar of fresh ingredients typically used in South America. Each student can choose a variety of ingredients to fill or top their created arepas & tostadas.  The class will also have a demonstration on making flan.  The class ends with a sampling of the Flan with fresh brewed Colombian Coffee.  Join Soraya, a local artist & chef, learning all about the passion to these wonderful foods from her country. The class consists of some observation and some hands-on to learn cooking techniques. All ingredients will be provided by Fat Tuscan. $55.00/per person, includes all ingredients, class instruction, samples of all items created in class, a toppings bar and dessert with coffee.  Recipes will be discussed in class as well.  An apron is recommended and Note taking is encouraged.
