WEDNESDAY, April 23rd, 2025 – Working with Butter: MAKING SCONES & SHORTBREAD COOKIES – 11am TO 2pm  – 12 STUDENTS MAX 

HANDS-ON CLASS – BAKING – KID FRIENDLY – VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY – WORKING WITH BUTTER DOUGHS

In this afternoon class learn to work with butter to create buttery, soft, doughs used for scones & shortbread cookies. Each student will work with a butter dough learning to properly mix, knead, and form tender scones, both a savory and sweet variety and will also work with the proper ratio for making buttery shortbread cookies.  The class is all about working with tender doughs & breads and includes one-on-one instruction by the chef.  Baking will also be part of this class and each student will be returning home with an assortment of baked items, so a container is recommended and/or a sheet pan to transport home.  Students will work at individual stations and be provided all the necessary supplies, ingredients, groceries, and utensils needed to prepare the day’s recipes. Assorted flavors and toppings will be available to choose from to flavor your scones. $70.00 per person, includes printed recipes, supplies, ingredients, class instruction as well as tastings/samples in class and take-home baked items prepared in class. Aprons are recommended.
