Venue Rental at the Fat Tuscan
Here at the Fat Tuscan we offer basic rental of our facilities for use for any special occasion or event. We can accommodate up to 25 guests in our large conference room comfortably, a maximum of 35 guests for interior seating areas or up to 40 guests for a standing room mixer with minimal seating. The interior of our cafe comfortably seats 35 guests with the use of all three interior rooms we have available inside the Historic Vidal House; however, with the use of our uncovered courtyard we can accommodate additional seating areas, but please note the use of the exterior courtyard is dependent on weather and therefore we do not guarantee additional seats.
Use of the cafe space includes: use of all 1st floor Cafe space: Minimal Kitchen use unless using a licensed caterer (please inquire about restrictions); use of service area and bar for service staff and drinks/buffet area; full use of the enclosed brick courtyard to use/decorate as desired which includes iron tables and chairs; guest use of all three interior sitting rooms with tables and chairs; includes uni-sex handicap restrooms.
Pricing for Corporate Retreat and Venue Rental:
- We can accommodate up to 45 guests for a cocktail type reception or up to 35 guests for our interior seating areas.
- Venue rental beer and wine use must be purchased, provided and overseen by The Fat Tuscan or a licensed beer and wine provider in the State of Florida, we do not allow outside beer and wine to be purchased and brought in otherwise. A Copy of Proof of licensing will be required for outside alcohol purchases.
- Venue rental allows for outside caterers of your choice to provide decorations, food, set up, etc. Please inquire about kitchen restrictions however.
- Venue rental payments are due in full in advance to reserve your date and time on our calendar. (Venue rental payments are non-refundable).

A credit card must be kept on file for all venue rentals.
Events that exceed the quoted price times are billed at an hourly rate of $150.00 per hour and it is due on the event date to the attendant on duty, failure to pay will result in a $200 per hour fee charged to the credit card on file.
Decorations and special table set up is the responsibility of the guests unless otherwise stated in quote. Guests/Caterers may assemble and rearrange current seating and tables as needed for events; however it is the responsibility of the Guest/Caterer to put all moved furniture back into the original designs. If removal of wall art work or wall space is used, original wall appearance must be maintained with diligent care. Scuffs and marks will incur an additional repair fee.
No Smoking Inside
There is no smoking at any time inside the cafe. Use of candles should be monitored at all times, no candle drips on tables or floors is allowed. Smoking is permitted outside in the courtyard with proper ashtrays provided and any and all cigarette butts must be picked up if discarded in the garden area with clean up.
Protection Of Floors
Any item to be moved across the floor must be carried to prevent scarring of the original wood floor surface. Any damage to floor surfaces will be billed for repairs.
We would like you to assist us with being a good neighbor. The Café backs up to a Historic residential neighborhood therefore certain limits on outdoor events apply. Events with a high noise level, such as those using amplified sound, are not allowed. Acoustic music may be played outside however, as well as low background music from a speaker.
Rental includes the use of the small dumpster located on premise; however, no garbage can be placed outside of receptacle. No garbage may be left on premise after an event that does not fit inside a dumpster with lid securely closed (Do Not stack garbage with lid open). If excess garbage is left behind and the facility has to have an extra garbage pickup, the client will be billed directly at a rate of $90.00 per pick up for disposal.
Kitchen use is determined in your quote. All use of the kitchen area must be kept to a minimum. At the end of the event everything must be cleaned, wiped, swept and tidy restored to its original state prior to use. Any additional cleaning needed after an event will be billed at a $175.00 per hour rate
