SUNDAY, AUGUST 15TH – HERB BREAD & YEAST DOUGH – WORKING WITH BREAD – 10 Students Max. 11:00AM to 2pm – (Hands-on Class – Kids Welcome)
In this class students will explore making bread from scratch. This class begins with an introduction to yeast and moves to each student learning to mix, knead, rise and shape his or her own dough. During the class, we will be adding in fresh herbs to add flavor into our breads. As the class proceeds students will gain knowledge in an understanding of yeast, how to mix bread dough properly, kneading techniques, rising bread and shaping different bread dough’s such as baguette’s, braids and filled breads. At the end of class we will bake your breads in our oven and each student will take home a hot fresh baked bread to enjoy. In this hands-on class we provide all the raw ingredients, utensils and one-on-one instructions. Each student will be working at his or her own station. There will be a substantial amount of flour used in this class so we recommend you bring an apron. This class is $50.00 per person. It includes a beverage & light snacks during the class as well as cooking instructions and printed recipes. *Kids are welcome in this class.
